Financial Secretary Paul Chan will depart for Australia for a duty visit tomorrow, the Government announced today.
In Melbourne and Sydney, Mr Chan will meet members of the local business, finance, and innovation and technology sectors, as well as call on various enterprises.
In addition to attending luncheons to explain Hong Kong’s latest situation and business advantages, he will also meet Hong Kong residents living in Australia.
During his time in Melbourne, Mr Chan also plans attend the Asia Summit, organised by the Australian Financial Review in partnership with Asia Society Australia, where he will deliver a keynote speech.
The Financial Secretary will arrive in Hong Kong on September 6. During his absence, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will be Acting Financial Secretary.
